I enjoyed working out on the jobsite. It gave me the opportunity to get out and see exactly how things I have seen in design plans are built in the field. I had an in depth look into the design plans and the budget of the project. Another think I enjoyed was that everyday I had meaningful work I contributed to the project.
What I wish was different
I started at the very beginning stages of the project. The benefit was that I had more time to learn what the project was about before it started, as well as learn what my daily job would be. the downside is that things started slow and I returned to school as the project was ramping up.
Advice
As everyone says, don't be afraid to ask questions. In many cases, it was expected that I was not familiar with things, and I was encouraged to ask questions.

Construction Management Intern

What I liked
The people in the company are so nice and helpful. Walking into this internship I have had no experience on a construction site. They had patience and persistence to teach me what is expected on a job site and how to be professional about it.
What I wish was different
There is nothing I wanted to be different. I really enjoyed and grew from this experience. I mean waking up early every day kinda sucked but it was expected.
Advice
I would advise others to strive to meet and connect with as many employees as possible. Not only management but also laborers and operators. Everyone can teach you something new and if needed you can have a personal reference for other positions or other jobs.
