All of the their internships provide free housing, which is a huge benefit for any student looking for an internship in the arts field.
What I wish was different
I loved absolutely everything about the internship, if I was going to think of anything I wish was different it would be wishing the festival was closer to bigger cities.
Advice
The internships that Glimmerglass provides are by far the greatest experiences you could have if you are focusing on arts admin or production. Not only do you get free housing and transportation, all of the employees are so welcoming and love teaching you the craft. I highly recommend looking to see if any of their opportunities fit you!

Development Intern
April - August 2018 • Cooperstown, NY
What I liked
Great community of workers. I was never doing "traditional intern" jobs, I was doing the same work as full time employees. Really gave a great sense of what working in development for a non-profit will be like.
What I wish was different
Nothing! It was the best experience I could ask for.
Advice
Be open to as many opportunities as possible- both professional and personal. You never know what the relationships you form can lead to!
