It was a wonderful experience with an incredibly friendly staff. The program was well put together and I felt like I had all the support I needed to be successful. The position was flexible in a way that I was able to assist in designing an ideal internship experience that allowed me to explore various aspects of ministry in a way that was challenging but not overwhelming.
What I wish was different
Over the course of the summer the group of interns were supposed to go through a book with their supervisors for weekly reflections. I just wish a different book had been chosen, but that is a very minor thing in comparison to all the great experiences I was able to have.
Advice
This was my second time doing the internship and my only piece of advice is to be prepared to be a self starter. In both experiences I was often left to my own devices and was given a lot of creative freedom when choosing my projects and following through with them. If you are someone who needs constant direct instruction, it may not be the best fit.
