What I liked

I loved how much exposure I got to the modern-day energy markets, and the technical/industrial knowledge I picked up on throughout the summer. My supervisors were fantastic and always willing to help me learn and grow, and the overall culture was wonderful. Despite having 200+ employees, the company felt like a family. My favorite part was that I actually got to be challenged. My day-to-day job was fast-paced and exciting, and I was solving real problems- not just grabbing coffee or filing things.

What I wish was different

Not too many complaints since the internship was fantastic, but it would be nice if I'd gotten more exposure to other departments, almost like a rotational program.

Advice

My best piece of advice would be to ask questions. I learned the most when I got curious about the work I was doing and practicing. Asking questions to those with years and decades of experience allows you to grasp so much wisdom about work and the real world, especially as someone who's still in college.
