What I liked

I loved working at The Dealio. The environment was conducive to executing my own ideas, but I still had some structure from supervisors. I loved being able to work with real clients and manage different accounts. The hours were super flexible, which was nice because I was working part-time at a different job and taking a class that the same time. It was a busy semester, but I'm grateful for the experience I received at The Dealio and the things I learned.

What I wish was different

I don't think I would wish anything different. My internship experience was just what I needed. I guess if I had to pick something I would say that I wish there had been a little bit more expectations set by my supervisors. I understood that we had a lot of free rein, but I'm just a person who works better with structure and I feel like establishing clearer expectations would have helped with that.

Advice

My advice is, when you get out into the work force you're not always going to have someone telling you what to do and when to do it. I learned that you have to establish good self-starting habits. Don't be afraid to voice your opinions and ideas, because it's probably good.

Digital Marketing Intern

September 2019 • Rexburg, ID

What I liked

They have such a fun atmosphere's with more interns that are all college students at BYU-Idaho. I liked how independent we were and how much freedom we had to write our own content as long as it pertained to what websites we were assigned to.

What I wish was different

I wish we had more direction in what we need to get done.

Advice

I would just say to stay motivated and stay on track of your blogging, posting and story sharing. It will be fun once you get in the groove of things. I'd also say to make friends fast because the other managers and interns want to help you and be your friend. Seek for more opportunities then what you're given.
