What I liked

I enjoyed the entire experience. My supervisors were attentive and receptive, and I felt like a valued member of the team, as I was often asked to provide my insights about a wide range of things. My fellow interns were intelligent, easy to work with, and fantastic collaborators. I also really liked the virtual speaker series that The Creative Coalition provided for us, in which we had the opportunity to have fascinating conversations with industry professionals.

What I wish was different

I wish the experience had been in-person! While I lived in New York over the summer, it was not the same as actually occupying the same space as my fellow interns and supervisors. Additionally, I think it would have been a bit more enriching to have more depth in my assignments and day-to-day activities, despite the fact that I really enjoyed what I had the opportunity to do.

Advice

Believe in your ability to land a competitive internship! Having had no prior internship experience, I was quite nervous as to how I would measure up throughout the interview process. However, I trusted what I could bring to the table, and as a result, I secured myself a spot. My best advice would always be to try and put yourself out there, because you never know where you'll end up if you give yourself the chance to succeed.
