What I wish was different
It was a multicultural agency so I was exposed to more diversity than I would be at most agencies. However, just from an inclusion and social comfort perspective I would've loved to see more people who looked like me. Being an African American male attracts more attention than say being a white American or white-passing Hispanic, like many of the employees. I would have had an easier time building community around likeness- but we don't show up to fit in, or have an easy time.
