Supply Chain Finance Intern

June 2019 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I was immediately involved in real-world business decisions to put my knowledge to test and to learn from the way the processes played out. The exposure to a variety of business groups within the Coca-Cola Company and all the different data and reporting platforms associated with each business group.

What I wish was different

Maybe a little more training on the specific softwares or reporting tools that the company, or really those most big businesses use these days because colleges don’t have access to these softwares and programs to give students exposure to. Examples being Oracle programs, SAP, etc.

Advice

Don’t limit your internship to a specific field or company. You never truly know what you will enjoy doing until getting out there and experiencing things. Use internships to experiment in career paths with your degree to help narrow down the search by the time you graduate or shortly thereafter.

Field Marketing Intern

May 2017 • Miami, FL

What I liked

In Field Marketing there is a lot of freedom in the position and the ability to be exposed to all sorts of different environments. I really enjoyed the ability to improve my professional skills such as public speaking!

What I wish was different

Many things! Mainly network more with the other employees of Coca-Cola as I mainly just was focused on communication with my immediate boss.

Advice

There are several tips I wish I knew before! Try to be prepared for the unexpected as many surprised may arise. Do not book appointments or plans at a time that is near when your shift ends. As a team you don't want to leave someone your work as an intern. Biggest piece of advice, as an professornal do not give into any gossip or rumors and always be honest- it's surprising how much bosses etc hear and know about what happens even if you think you're being very careful! It is important to not say or do anything you're boss wouldint do his or herself or that you think would negatively impact yourself as an employee or take away from your work. Choose your words wisely, work hard, and remember that an internship is a learning opportunity!

Digital Marketing Intern

June - July 2018 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I loved shadowing the different sectors of the social center and understanding the process of creating a marketing campaign. I also enjoyed working on projects that Coca-Cola plans to implement.

What I wish was different

I wish it had a little more structure, and I had been given more tasks throughout the month. There were days when I had no work and then others when I had too much stuff to do.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share about this experience is that always ask people if they need help and ask questions.
