I loved the entire atmosphere at NYU. It is an academic medical center, so they are accustomed to teaching and mentoring students and so I got to observe and experience so many different things. It was also very hands-on and I loved that I was given so many responsibilities.
What I wish was different
I do wish we had the opportunity to visit other units. I was on the same unit for the whole summer.
Advice
Start researching internships/externships now and connect with employers!

What I liked
I loved the hands on experience I was able to get with the Child Study Center. Being a group leader helped me improve my leadership skills and clinical sense.
What I wish was different
There is nothing about this internship I would change. The supervisors, interns and children make this experience fantastic!
Advice
This is not your typical internship you will learn a lot and you will definitely enjoy it but make sure you have the time for it. This internship is very time consuming but very fulfilling and a great experience!
