What I liked

Boldt offers nearly limitless opportunities for their interns in terms of responsibilities and the depth of those responsibilities. If you are motivated to continually take on more work, they will find meaningful tasks for you to take on and truly make a difference for a project or the company as a whole. In addition, the culture within the company is very family oriented and even as an intern you feel like more than a number in a billion dollar company.

What I wish was different

More intern/company networking events could have added more value. We did have at least one event everyone attended which was great! However, interns like myself in the field on projects didn't get to know the other interns as well and network within the company.

Advice

Ask questions and don't be afraid to ask for more responsibilities. I think interns get comfortable pushing papers and not gaining truly valuable experience which is not optimal use of your summer. Companies love to see initiative and that desire to continually learn more.

What I liked

Great working and learning environment. I have the opportunity to learn new skills every day and it's never busy work. My supervisor is very helpful and is always willing to guide me along the way. Improved many of my technical skills, such as R, Power BI, and SQL.
