Great support network and open research topic. There was a lot of flexibility for innovative projects.
What I wish was different
I would have preferred in-person interactions, rather than online. However, the pandemic was a barrier to in-person interactions.

Freedom to shape the project in consultation with the professor with whom I was collaborating.
What I wish was different
A necessity to submit a working model of the project at the end of the research duration.
Advice
Always keep an open mind and be prepared to do ALL necessary reading for your project. I ended up reading 33 plays written by Shakespeare and watching several film adaptations!
