Serving
June - August 2019 • Auburn Hills, MI
What I liked
I liked meeting different kinds of people and feeling independent.
What I wish was different
I wish that the customer service was different. A lot of my coworkers weren't too friendly.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share is to keep an open mind and keep your eye on the prize. Serving isn't your career, it's just a job to get you to where you want to be in the future.

Bartender
April 2018 • Marlton, NJ
What I liked
The job was fun. I was able to use a lot of my theatre and improv skills when interacting with customers. My social sciences background was immensely helpful when observing and reacting to situations at the bar.
What I wish was different
I wish, after my two promotions, that I was not expected to continue working the lower job titles. The promotions I received should have been my only responsibilities.
Advice
My advice would be know your responsibilities. Know both what you are expected to do and what you are specifically not responsible for. It is important to understand all of your duties but it is just as important to know your limits as an employee.
