What I liked

Great work environment. If you're passionate about marine life, you'll love the environment. Friendly coworkers in all areas of the aquarium, customers are generally kind.

What I wish was different

Pay is above minimum wage but just barely. Difficult to get many hours during off season.

Advice

Learn where the exhibits are, no matter which area you work, people will ask for directions!

The fact that i learned so much this summer and truly dove deeper into my animal care career and hope to take this knowledge and move forward.

What I wish was different

Nothing.

Advice

It is hard, it is sad, it is great, it is awesome, but at the end of the day if you have a passion for carring for animals. Persue it but take the good with the bad and contiue on as there is more to it then just caring for them.
