Texas Capital Bank

Mortgage Finance Analyst

August 2022 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

There is a great culture and environment. The leaders within the bank seem genuinely interested in my career and are always available to answer questions and have helped tremendously with my transition into my role.

What I wish was different

Learning how to best maximize the time spent in the STARs training program is still an ongoing challenge, as this past year was only the second iteration. Great strides have already been made, however, and I learned a lot throughout the training.

Advice

Always be willing to ask questions; others in the bank are very willing to help. Work hard and what you do will be recognized as you make an impact.

Banking Analyst

August 2022 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

Texas Capital Bank fosters a culture of trust through collaboration, inclusion, and respect, all of which have been exemplified by the team facilitating training for new analysts and my co-workers in my line of business.

What I wish was different

The analyst training program is in its infancy and developing the proper timing and duration of training courses could have been a little better. Fortunately, every employee from new analysts to the executive committee have made themselves available to facilitate a collaborative training experience.

Advice

Take advantage of every moment you have to work and learn from your co-workers in the bank. We're building something great here at Texas Capital Bank, and we can't do it without everyone's help.

Commercial Banking Intern

May - July 2021 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

Everyone at the bank truly wanted to help all the interns learn about the industry and the company

What I wish was different

Nothing, I loved my experience this past summer

Advice

Learn to adjust. At first I was hired on as part of the companies mortgage warehousing intern. 1 month before I was supposed to start, the bank hired a new CEO and decided to sell off that part of the business. They told me I could either work at their headquarters in Dallas as a commercial banking intern. It was honestly the best that that could’ve happened to me. I would’ve never learned as much or has the exposure as I did at their headquarters. Overall, just take all the opportunities that come your way even if it’s not what you had expected.
