Tig Welder

June 2018 - August 2020 • Winsted, MN

What I liked

I enjoyed the company that I worked for, the employees. As well as the job itself. The hours were long but at the point in my life I didn't mind and it was nice to be able to work a bunch.

What I wish was different

Was not a fan of the 4 or 5 am start time, but overall it wasn't bad since we got off early.

Advice

Work hard in any situation that you do. Learn as much as you can.

HR Intern

September 2019 • Singapore, Central Region

What I liked

I finally found an internship that was to my interests. I learned a lot about how formal or informal I should be according to different types of people as well as about respect. I liked to be in charge of over 7 trainings in 3 months. I sat through these trainings and learn a lot about general work-life too. I had a really good manager, who allowed me to make mistakes and learn from them.

What I wish was different

I wish there was more to it. I wish i could've done multiple HR-related roles as I want to learn more in this department. After organizing so many trainings (remotely too) there wasn't much to learn in the same department.

Advice

It's okay to make mistakes as we all are human. But don't make the same mistake twice, learn from your previous mistake.
