What I liked

This place is awesome AND you get to spend the summer in Jackson. There’s housing on site so you never have to drive to work. The coworkers and bosses are awesome. Everyone is super nice and easy to get along with. You’re never out working alone which is nice too, you’re always in a group. Working in the Tetons for a while summer can’t be beat!

What I wish was different

Absolutely nothing!

What I liked

Best summer job ever! There is free housing on site so you don’t have to drive to work or pay for housing in Jackson. You work ten hour days so every Friday is overtime. They also offer Saturday work pretty much every week if you want it. It’s worth it cause it’s only ever a few hours and it’s also overtime pay. They also give you mid season bonuses just for being a good employee. You can also earn extra money by finding rare invasive weeds. The coworkers and bosses are fun and easy to get along with as long as you do your part.

What I wish was different

Nothing. Like I said before this is the best summer job. You get to spend your summer in Jackson and make great money! The season runs from mid May to late October, but they take many college students so they let you end early if needed.

Advice

Wear sunscreen! You are out in the sun all day. Be a good team member. Have fun!

Field Technician

What I liked

This job allowed me to serve the community is a large but often unnoticeable way. Many people love Eastern Idaho for its beautiful landscape. However, if it wasn't for weed and pest control, this side of the state would be covered in both unwanted noxious weeds and pests.

What I wish was different

I am grateful for the opportunity to further my knowledge regarding noxious weeds and pest. I do not wish my experience had been any different.

Advice

You are responsible to adhere to state and federal laws. Follow the label and wear the necessary gear to keep yourself protected from harmful chemicals.
