Receiving the diagnosis that your son or daughter has a significant life long disability is often shattering to parents and families. They often feel unprepared, unequipped, and very alone. The diagnosis may have come early in life, after the beginning of school, or after a catastrophic accident. Since 1976 Tesh, Inc. has been connecting with and walking the life journey with families in Kootenai County and the surrounding areas by providing Pre-Employment, Employment and Life Skill services to individuals with disabilities of all ages who are seeking greater independence and self-sufficiency within their community. The Children's after school and Summer Day Camp programs, the Youth Summer Employment Program and Project SEARCH are our early services to youth with disabilities. Life Skill classes provide the crucial basic skills for individuals to move to a higher level of independence. Pre-Employment training and Employment support are critical components of community integrated employment. 450 individuals with disabilities within the Kootenai County area are the beneficiaries of the services of Tesh, Inc. on an annual basis. Over 100 individuals each day receive services from a Tesh, Inc. staff.
