What I liked

The mentorship program is fantastic and I was able to connect with people from various departments. I learned a lot about digital marketing.

What I wish was different

Within the division I worked in, there was no opportunity for a return offer so I had to look into other departments.

Advice

Tek has an open-door policy so don't be afraid to reach out to anyone who is working on something interesting.

What I liked

Fantastic people, can be given a good deal of responsibility and work both with teams and independently. I was given a project of my own to manage with the launch of a new product. I also created end-user facing material. I very quickly became an expert in my area and was a resource to other people in the company.

What I wish was different

Advice

Pay attention to your coworkers to see how to work. You don't have to be super serious, but you do have to make sure you get your work done without people micromanaging you.

What I liked

My mentor, manager, and team invested in me throughout the summer as more than a temporary hire. Through learning about my interests, they tailored projects to be meaningful to both me and them, which resulted in an internship I'm eternally grateful for.
