What I liked

Working on a live and critical business project, A high level of independence over the projects direction, Being given responsibility over important tasks, Gaining exposure to broader business areas, Having the ability to network, Well orchestrated as a virtual programme.

What I wish was different

Having a particularly heavy workload at times with tight deadlines, Not being able to carry on with implementation of some ideas due to the ending of the internship, Not being able to be more physically immersed in the business environment.

Advice

This programme can be a big learning curve and great attribute on your CV if you are willing to put in the work.

What I liked

I loved how my project matched my interests so well. Because Tata spans across so many industries, they are able to match you to an area which aligns with your passions. The program organizers also did an excellent job transitioning the internship from in-person to online.

What I wish was different

Originally, the internship would have taken place in India, but had to be moved virtual. It would have been such a unique experience to work hands-on in a different country.

Advice

Have an open mind! The more you put yourself out there and participate, the more you will get out of it. There will be a lot of exciting events that you have the option to join—even though it's not directly related to your work, it is a great way to meet your fellow interns.

I loved how engaging and interactive the internship was. I really enjoyed having the chance to work on a project at such a prestigious and large company in India.

What I wish was different

I wish I had the chance to be in person, but I am so grateful that the experience wasn't cancelled due to the pandemic.
