SOUL is a local nonprofit that is driving a more resilient and environmentally equitable New Orleans through replanting its urban forest. It is doing so be planting strategically, as a system, and at a meaningful scale in order to impact stormwater, subsidence, air, water, and soil pollution, rising air temperatures and community health.
The organization's programming includes Community Forestry, Education, Voluntourism, and Policy/Advocacy. It has planted over 800 large native trees since its June 2016 inception.
