What I liked

I liked being on the sales floor and being able to use sales tactics I learned through classes provided by luxottica.

What I wish was different

I wish there were more people working at the same time, but because it is a commission based role it would've been too competitive with more than just a few people working at a time.

Advice

If you're an outgoing person looking for what it feels like to work a sales job, this is a good opening role that will let you know what that is like without going for a full commission based job.

What I liked

- My fellow workers and managers were all very kind and fun to work with. - Not too difficult, once I got the hang of things.

What I wish was different

- I wish I had gotten the job earlier. I was job searching during my summer time off from school, and I didn't get hired and start working until September, a month before I went back to school. It's not too bad, as it's a part-time job and I am taking shifts when I can during the school quarter.

Advice

Be ready to work with customers. Also be prepared for responding to possible thefts. The location I work at in Redmond Town Center has been stolen from only a few times, but I was told a bigger store nearby has had a lot of thefts. The managers of the two stores actually got switched, so that the tougher manager at my location would be able to help address the thievery at the other location.
