What I liked

Most of all, I really liked that the job gave me a lot of freedom to pursue my given projects at whatever priority and whatever rate I thought was best. My supervisor gave me a lot of personal responsibility instead of constantly micromanaging, which I appreciated.

What I wish was different

I wish the commute would've been a little shorter. Driving more than an hour both ways every day was starting to eat at me by the end of the Summer, and it only got worse once school started again.

Advice

One thing I think more people my age should know is that they shouldn't be afraid to be vocal with their superiors. Every supervisor I've ever had has greatly appreciated that I don't mind speaking up for myself.

What I liked

There is a very friendly and supportive team of people here to help get started here at Sun. The work environment is positive and inviting. Sun dabbles in many different areas as well, so odds are you'll find something to work on that you can really sink your teeth into.

What I wish was different

Housing is very expensive in the area and while the people are helpful in giving advice, Sun Chemical does not support its interns in obtaining housing. I wish that there was some sort of housing assistance, even something as simple as giving contact information for affordable places nearby.
