Sales Development Intern

May - July 2019 • Redwood City, CA

What I liked

I really enjoyed the layout of the internship. We were given training from the moment we started. We learned the product and their sales process. In the last few weeks, we were given the go-ahead to start making calls and try to set meetings. I felt very supported throughout the process by both my managers, peers and an assigned mentor.

What I wish was different

I think moving forward, we should be given specific metrics and goals to hit so that we could see what we achieved during our time there. After many conversations with my manager, I believe they plan to implement this for the next group of interns!

Advice

Make the effort to meet with your manager and set personal goals at the very beginning. That way they can coach you and ensure that you are meeting their goals and your goals throughout your time. Everyone is more than willing to help so its great to have a baseline in order to see your growth.

Marketing Intern

October 2016 - June 2017 • Redwood City, CA

What I liked

The culture and people of the company. Every one was very friendly and welcoming.

What I wish was different

I wish that I did not have to balance school and work at the same time. However, I understand that that is unavoidable.

Advice

My one piece of advice is to talk to and try to connect with as many people as you can. Your goal is to talk to a lot of people but to really connect with just one or two.
