Blue Ridge Outdoors has an amazing, small + casual office environment. There were a lot of cool opportunities to go for free to musical events around VA and get paid for doing brand ambassador stuff!
I also got the chance to improve my writing and learn more about how magazines work.
What I wish was different

Advice
Look around for local small magazines, newspapers and businesses who may not advertise internship opportunities as much. Working in a small office environment can be a good, less intimidating way to get used to the workplace.
