It was a great experience to learn about the insides of banking. I met amazing people and I found out I am very interested in going into the banking industry. I worked 9-5. It helped me get ready for the professional world with the hours of a normal work day and the professional dress.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have shadowed the financial department one of the weeks or even the financial planners the bank had.
Advice
I volunteered at a run where the company had a table set up and I met the VP and had a great bonding experience with my boss. So I would say volunteer for anything the company offers you, it went a long way because after that me and my boss had a great connection. Also ask a lot of questions because it is better to ask then not know what to do and mess up. It shows that you care and want to do the job to the best of your ability.
