I liked that they trained me on a specific laboratory method and allowed me to run that method for the entirety of the summer after I completed my training. The environment was very welcoming, friendly yet very professional and everyone was open to helping me out if I was having a problem with a run.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to learn how to use the software that the analysts used to generate their lab reports, but was unable to due to a change in systems halfway through the summer. If the internship was longer, I have no doubt that I would have learned how to use the new system.

Everyone was super helpful and kind, I loved the environment and work that I was doing! There's also a bit of flexibility in terms of switching jobs
What I wish was different
I didn't ask questions about the details of what my job would be and I was fairly shocked due to what I experienced.
Advice
Ask questions! Better to ask now than be sorry later
