Podcast Network Intern

What I liked

I enjoyed working with an diverse group of people in different fields of entertainment. Even though I was an intern in the podcast department, I had the opportunity to connect and learn from the graphics design team, the ad operations team, the digital marketing team, and many more.

What I wish was different

During the internship, they asked us to complete a group venture project together, finding a new solution or product for the company. While I learned a lot from this, I wish they had introduced the project to us earlier to allow more time to understand the ins and outs of the company and for informational interviews. However, in the end, it still ended up being a great learning experience!

Advice

One piece of advice I would share is to network in any role you hold. While I was an intern there, I scheduled many online coffee chats with people in my department and other departments. This helped me better understand the company and create strong connections that I continue to hold even after the internship.

What I liked

I loved how interconnected and structured the internship was. You were able to communicate without an issue and there was a lot of room for interns to grow. I also enjoyed the business venture project that we had to complete.

What I wish was different

I wish we were in person but Studio71 did the best they can to accommodate and make us feel as comfortable as possible.

Advice

You need to be vocal about what you want and what projects you want to be part of. It is your responsibility to make those connections and make your name known.

What I liked

Studio71 uses their internships as educational experiences for people to get a well rounded understanding of the new media industry. My experience was incredibly hands-on and I was able to leave my mark on the company with the projects I was involved it. Everyone at the company is incredibly egar to help and share all of their knowledge.

What I wish was different

Nothing, if you put in the effort you will get so much more in return.

Advice

Say yes to everything and don't be affraid to share your ideas or ask questions. The more involved you are the more of an impact and impression you will make.
