In 2017, USA Funds® exited its historic role as a student loan guarantor helping 22 million students gain financial access to higher education and launched a new chapter as Strada Education Network℠. Today, Strada is a national nonprofit dedicated to improving lives by strengthening the pathways between education and employment.

As a network, we engage innovative partners across education, nonprofits, business and government to impact how students prepare for and connect with careers that ensure a thriving economy. Our goal is Completion With a Purpose®, helping all students build a more purposeful path from postsecondary education to achieve rewarding careers and fulfilling lives.
Together with our partners, we address critical higher education and workforce challenges through a combination of strategic philanthropy, research and insights, and innovative solutions and services — all focused on the critical decisions and transitions throughout the student life cycle.
Strategic philanthropy. We support philanthropic partnerships that expand the dynamic talent pipeline needed to meet employer demands by bridging closer connections between education and work throughout the student life cycle. Our grants focus on collaborative, innovative and scalable initiatives serving these priority populations: First-generation; low-income; disengaged youth; and some college, no degree.
Research and insights. We sponsor research that offers insights to inform higher education and workforce development policies and practices. Our groundbreaking partnership with Gallup is set to become the most extensive database of education consumer insights to date.
Innovative solutions. We support a growing network of mission-driven affiliates that offer innovative solutions and services to improve student outcomes in higher education and facilitate successful career transitions.
