Adore the residents and the experience i’m getting in my field. You don’t need a CNA license to work there even though I have one but it’s good to know that.
What I wish was different
Nothing
Advice
Stick with it, it’s hard to adapt at first but you will get the hang of it. I would also like to add it’s not for everyone

What I liked
I loved being able to give back to my community by being a caregiver and assisting with daily needs and activities.
What I wish was different
I wish I never left.
Advice
You must really love the work of a caregiver if you want to pursue this job. Families and residents can tell if you don't want to be there and sometimes that turns into them thinking they're a burden when they're not.

What I liked
There was a lot of independence, they were not overbearing however, some people took advantage of this.
What I wish was different
Organization was terrible, people would call off a lot, they would not carry through with a lot of their claims. Some care was lacking for the residents due to other employees laziness.
