What I liked

STEMed Labs is a wonderful place to work part time and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in designing curriculum and getting more teaching experience. The organization is small and very friendly to work with. If you demonstrate that you have understanding of your teaching topic and can communicate well to students, the staff gives you creative liberty in your lesson to do what you would like. It's a very fun and flexible environment!

What I wish was different

I taught remotely during the pandemic, so it was sometimes hard to engage students. Occasionally, most of the students would have their camera off, which is difficult for a few reasons.

Advice

If you are interested in teaching and looking to get experience, here is your place to start! You can explore your teaching style in a fun, flexible environment. The most important thing you need for teaching at STEMed labs is enthusiasm. If you are enthusiastic about your teaching topic you will easily engage your students and teaching at STEMed Labs wont feel like work at all.
