It’s more worth it than not. Steak ‘n Shake is a good job which is why I’ve been there for over six months and I’ve been able to save for a majority of my tuition.

The money from tips is good (it came out to about $17/hour) but the job is pretty stressful. The work environment was okay for a first job. Hours were flexible if the boss liked you.

Be kind and courteous to others. I meet new people every day, and my attitude towards them ultimately decides how their experience goes and how my shift goes. You never know how far a little bit of kindness can go.
