This position gave me great opportunities to work in Department Services and Accounting while having time to focus on my studies.
What I wish was different
It would have been nice to be able to do real accounting tasks instead of smaller data entry and filing work.
Advice
Definitely make sure that the work environment is something you like before you commit to staying long-term.

What I liked
I worked in the Technology & Gaming Operations division and I enjoyed being able to help staff resolve their technical issues. I had kind coworkers, and the student position was a nice way to get insight into what it's like working for the state. Also, student employees are able to choose their own schedule so that they can balance their schoolwork and the job.
