What I wish was different
RAship was virtual due to COVID — not an optimal work experience, but out of the control of supervisors. Experience was valuable regardless.
Advice
Set norms for communication early on, especially if experience is virtual! Also, you do have a lot of free time compared to professional internships, but still, take every opportunity to perfect your technical skills and get to know about this field of research.
