Student Supervisor

What I liked

It was a challenging, fast-paced work environment and gave me a fantastic experience as to what a full-time job can feel like. I loved working with and building relationships with my student colleagues, supervisor, the rest of the front desk and custodial staff, the conferences team, and all those involved in participating in and teaching in the camps throughout the summer.

What I wish was different

Front desk hours went until 10 pm, so it would have been nice to not to have to work so late some days. Also, my housing could have been a lot better -- I had a LOT of pest issues. Granted, it was free housing, so I guess you get what you pay for :P

Advice

If you don't know yet what you want to do for your future, I highly recommend applying for this job as a full-time supervisor. You have to be extremely organized and will learn how to work with others in a hectic office environment, and this job will teach you things about yourself that you wouldn't know otherwise.
