I enjoyed the hands-on experience that was available to me and the ability to do work that was meaningful to the progress and development of the department. Also, I admired learning new medical/hospital terminology, conducting 3-D prints for medical task trainers and gaining experience with medical simulators.
What I wish was different
There is not much I would have wanted different other than the utilization of more engineering concepts that I have acquired during my education at Widener University.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share is to accept learning through trial and error. When I was conducting different projects, I had to learn through trial and error. I felt that it strengthened my critical thinking and communication skills.

Community Health Intern
May - August 2018 • Bethlehem, PA
What I liked
Flexible hours, able to continue internship into the school year.
What I wish was different
Less travel among various St. Luke's campuses.
Advice
It was a great opportunity to engage with Lehigh Valley community and hopefully leave an impact. If you're looking to go into healthcare, it was definitely interesting to see health on a community level, rather than an individual level.
