I wish that some of the training days were more condensed instead of being spread out over a long period of time.

What I liked
I loved how engaging the experience was! This job opportunity offered me experience, but always with the pursuit of social justice. The work in the Immigrant Law Center of MN was different every day and the work impacted families of undocumented immigrants for the better. The supervisors are friendly and help provide a secure environment to grow.
What I wish was different
I wish more students from St. Kate's were employed in these important job positions. This program should be expanded.

Be open to help. Supervisors care for you and will advocate for you. Make sure to research the work site before you apply.

What I liked
I loved being able to work one-on-one with a professor on research. It was incredible to work the whole summer on one project and tangibly see the progress that I have made since beginning the first project. It was also very flexible and my mentor is incredibly supportive while allowing room to struggle and problem solve for myself.

I don't really wish that anything had been different, honestly. It was rewarding and fun!
