It was incredible to be a fly on the wall for all of their meetings with CEO's and phone calls with expert analysts. The firm is small and tightly knit together but wildly efficient and a great picture of capitalist industrialism. Researching private equity firms was great and I learned so much about how the PE world works as well as how to research a firm that offers little to no financial information.
What I wish was different
Some of my projects we unrelated to my major and just general intern tasks that they offload, think of them as streamlining projects.
Advice
You must use your head. PE firms are different beasts from public companies and can be very frustrating unless you really use your head to think about what the company is trying to achieve.
