I liked the variety in my day to day tasks and working with different members of the team to achieve our goals.
What I wish was different
I wish the upper management would have worked better together so that they were not causing conflict with priorities within my team.
Advice
I would say you get out of this experience what you put in. I found that the harder and more diligently I worked the more responsibility I was given.

EHS Intern
May - August 2019 • Olathe, KS
What I liked
I was given real responsibility and actually relied on by other members of the management team to answer questions and solve problems. The projects that were assigned to me were challenging and I was able to ask questions without being judged or questioned about my knowledge and skills. My manager was a great source of knowledge and was very engaged in helping me learn. It was a good split between office work and being on the floor interacting with employees.
What I wish was different
Support. Our department was not supported by others at times.
Advice
In the case of internships, look for the opportunities that you think will allow you to learn the most. Even if you don't get a return offer or you end up not liking the company you can take those skills and knowledge and use them in future endeavors.
