The immediate impact that I was able to make on the decisions and features that were being developed by the company and used by its clients. I was able to take ownership of a project and see it all the way through to its release.
What I wish was different
I wish that I got to see what it is like to work for a more established company at first, before jumping into the start-up culture. However, I feel that I have learned valuable lessons and acquired useful skills either way.
Advice
Come in with an open mind and always be ready to learn. You never know what you may be asked to do, and it is likely something that you have never encountered before, especially at a start-up.
