Zookeepers and other staff were exceptionally professional and had protocols that made me feel safe and respected while working with the animals. Learned a lot about zoology and zoo management.
What I wish was different
Wished it was a longer internship.
Advice
Get used to animals noises. And if your working with the primate department, especially get used to the chimpanzees. They're a little scary, and their calls can frighten you if your not accustomed. Also they can sense your fear, so relax.
