New Product Development

January - August 2018 • Honeoye Falls, NY

What I liked

Many opportunities to learn in multiple areas. Near perfect balance of hands-on work with desk work and design. Was able to take ownership of projects and make meaningful decisions. Plenty of work that made me feel like an engineer rather than an intern. People friendly and ready to help. Rewarding feeling to make a significant engineering change or make assembly easier for an employee. I would go back without question.

What I wish was different

I wish I had feedback earlier and more often so I could make changes on things that need improvement and know what I did well.

Advice

Personal and project documentation are extremely important so put dedicated time and effort in them. This will help prioritize projects. It also helps communicate to the other engineers when you can help/get tasks from them done. They really appreciate that.
