South Windsor Public Schools is comprised of four elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12), as well as a preschool program and Young Adult Transition Academy, with a total PK-12 district enrollment of nearly 4,600 students. We are an educational community that values diversity and has worked to create a districtwide culture of equity and social consciousness.
South Windsor is known for its commitment to education. We are fortunate to partner with committed parents, a dedicated board of education, and an extremely supportive community. The continued support of our community members, as well as the town’s leadership, has ensured that our staff is equipped with the resources it needs to deliver highly effective instruction and support the learning experience of the whole child.
While our community’s reputation for supporting public education is long-standing, it is a particularly exciting time to join South Windsor. It is important for prospective candidates to understand the extraordinary support that has been provided for investing in our infrastructure, including the approval of three referenda associated with the construction of four new elementary schools outlined in the district’s Ten-Year Elementary Facilities Plan.
