Working for the School of Mines labs for SURF was a great experience. Dr. Schnee is great person to know and fun to work with. One of the things that was great was that I was not delegated to just do "intern jobs."

What I liked
I enjoyed working on new technologies that can be applied in forensics. I also enjoyed mentoring undergraduates in the summer Research Experience for Undergraduates program and learning along with them as the projects developed.

Advice
If the method you're trying isn't working, keep trying new methods and don't resign yourself to the idea it won't work.
