What I liked

I feel like I'm contributing to a team effort, I found out that I really enjoy customer service, and the ambiance in the upscale dining industry is something that's really rewarding and heartening to be a part of!

What I wish was different

The hours are long - I work four nights a week at the restaurant so I have to be on top of submitting assignments before midnight deadlines and making sure that I manage my time so that I can get enough sleep.

Advice

I think with any job that might not be your "dream job," bringing a positive and professional attitude to what you do every day makes it much more rewarding! Also, you never know who you're going to meet and what connections they might have to the field that you ultimately want to wind up in. If you're spending your time in any environment, I think it's worth it to actually be present and you never know what might come of it.
