What I liked

I enjoyed being able to learn about several different aspects of working at a law firm. SLG has attorneys that work in many different specialties of law so I was able to get a taste of everything.

What I wish was different

I wish that it started with less busy work in the beginning. By the end, I had a lot more engaging work to do, but in the beginning, it was simply filing and office work.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share about this experience is definitely intern or shadow in the fields that you are interested in. They are great hands-on experiences and you learn a lot about the field you might go into in the future. You might learn that you hate it, or that you love it even more than you thought. Either way, it gives you a real world experience that you wouldn't get otherwise.
