I really liked how helpful everyone was and how inclusive they were when it came to the projects they were working on. I got real insight on how this industry works this summer.
What I wish was different
I wish we would have been able to go visit the other offices in different states.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Architectural Intern
February - July 2017 • Washington, DC
What I liked
I enjoyed the opportunity to work in a large architecture firm and do more research oriented work.
What I wish was different
I wish that I was better integrated into the office. Being a part time intern within a large office resulted in me knowing only a small section of the office and not getting the time to tap into the office culture.
Advice
I would advise a fellow intern to be sure to be inquisitive and know that asking more questions will only better situate you to do your assignments well.

Advice

Mechanical Engineering Intern
May - August 2019 • Phoenix, AZ
What I liked
Very caring, friendly company culture. They definitely treat you with much appreciation.
What I wish was different
I wish that the engineering internship had been structured different than the architecture internships. I think the two fields are rather different, so having differences between them in practice is good for those who are learning.
Advice
Do not be afraid to talk to the people you are working with - often times they are very friendly!
