What I liked

I enjoy the experience of working with real data that assists in making impactful decisions by the company. In addition, my managers and coworkers have been wonderful in providing me with valuable resources and opportunities to educate me to help me perform a wider variety of tasks and complete them more efficiently.

What I wish was different

Since the internship began in the midst of the covid pandemic, I did not and still do not have many opportunities to work at the physical location, and working from home as presented some challenges (unreliable internet!), but overall it has been a great experience so far.

Advice

You never know what opportunities may present themselves to you, and you never want to take those opportunities for granted. I was about to give up on my internship search until someone from career services contacted me saying that one of the managers at the J.M. Smith Corporation would set up an interview. Apparently they found me through this site, and I never would have guessed that I would have received an opportunity like that the way I did.
