I am still doing the job and working as the Pacific Northwest Account Manager. I am able to work with companies such as Nike, Bank of America and other national accounts. I am able to engage clients and create long lasting relationships.
What I wish was different
I have to travel across the country to east coast accounts at times, so that can be tough with a large family.
Advice
Sales are not always what you think and they are not all treated the same. If you can find a position that is based upon the relationship, versus the the number, you have found a great sales position. Recruiting is much of the same.
