From a young age, I had always had experience with social media as an individual user but in this position, I learned how to approach social media from a business perspective.
What I wish was different
I did tasks for several different small businesses but I wish I was able to focus on just one business so that I could direct all my energy and focus into creating a greater, bigger marketing plan for it.
Advice
Digital marketing was something I thought I knew as a frequent social media user, but this experience actually surprised me by how much I did not know. Thus I would advise other students to put aside any preconceived notions of jobs or industries when entering or looking for a position.
