Maybe I would have chosen another area to work in the park because food services work was incredibly tiring.

What I liked
Being outside in the summer and learning new things.
What I wish was different
I wish scheduling would have been more lenient with breaks, being understaffed made us go into overtime hours. I was also taking an online class so stress was building up by the end of the summer.
Advice
I worked with many different ages youngest being 15 and oldest being 45, the way teaching styles were directed made things confusing for those under 17 and I wish they would make training more detailed to help the younger guards.

I wish COVID hadn't thrown a wrench in the works, but we made it work.

The wide variety of things that I got to try and learn while I was there. Also, the trust they had in me to come up with projects for them
What I wish was different
That I would have been able to start in March but that was COVIDs fault and not theirs

Be ready for anything and what you are doing could change at any minute. Keep a positive attitude and it makes everything worth it

The audience is seeing the show for the first time, so even though you’ve run it hundreds of times, give it your all.

The hours were really long and we only had a 30-minute break for an 8 hour+ day.
